Notes - School Commands:

Training of special Navy and Marine Corps radio operators was conducted in a reinforced concrete
blockhouse on the roof of the sixth wing of the old Main Navy Building on Constitution Ave., Washington, DC
commencing in 1926 and continuing into 1941. The 26+ classes trained in Japanese radio code were known
as the "On the Roof Gang." This training was transferred to Bainbridge Island, Washington in 1941 where
it continued for the duration of WW II.

The CT SUPP school was established at Bainbridge Island, WA in October 1951 and was closed in December 1953.
CT SUPP schools at Bainbridge Island, WA and Imperial Beach, CA were in business at the same time;
but, after Bainbridge Island, WA was closed, only Imperial Beach, CA continued, until it was moved to Pensacola, FL in 1960.

The history of Imperial Beach, CA says: BUPERS established
"U.S. Naval School, Communications Technician, Class A", on October 1, 1949.
On July 1, 1957, NAVCOMMTRACEN was established at Imperial Beach, CA and took over existing schools.
SUPP Scol NAVCOMMTRACEN moved from IB and became NAVCOMMTRACEN Corry Field, Pensacola in March 1960;
later, in 1973, CNO changed the name of Corry Field to NTTC Corry Station, Pensacola;
then on 19 Nov 2002, CNO changed the name of Corry Station to Center for Cryptology, Corry Station, Penacola
with a PLA of "CENCRYPTOLOGY Corry Station, Pensacola, FL".
Then on 28 June 2005, the name was changed to Center for Information Dominance, Corry Station, Pensacola
with a PLA of "CENINFODOM CORRY STATION PENSACOLA FL".
(No connection with NSGA Pensacola, as it remains today).

NCTC was a BUPERS shore activity at IB, not connected with the CI station there.
NCTC from IB to NCTC Pensacola was a BUPER's activity move and not connected with NSGA Pensacola.
