These are just scenery photos taken in the winter of 1942, and spring and summer of 1943. They were of the 42nd Naval Construction Battalian from New Jersey. They were first at Dutch Harbor and Unalaska, then later to Island X and Z. In their 1944-45 yearbook they said they had been to Dutch Harbor, Unalaska, Adak, and Amchitka so X and Z had to be Adak and Amchitka.
