William P. Larimore (Bill), CTT2 USN 1965-1969 After I graduated from high school in 1963 I went to college for 2 years and did not like it so I decided to join the Navy. I went to Great Lakes for Boot Camp in the middle of the winter and that was a real treat. I was lucky to score high on my math scores so they told me I would be a CT. Went to Corry Field in January of 1966 and started R school. I actually hated code so I felt very lucky to be picked for T School. I did well but waited a while for my clearance. From there I went to Sidi Yahia, Morocco for 15 months and Edzell, Scotland for 2 years. Great duty! I loved every minute of being a CT and felt very fortunate to be associated with a great group of guys. My oldest son just retired as a Chief in the Navy and I am very proud of him. I also tell people being in the Navy was a defining moment in my life and I will always cherish that time.
