| This past year I took my vacation in the Philippines and did a drive by at the former NSGA San Miguel. I was able to talk my way on the base using my retired ID card (I didn’t think it would work). However, they warned me not to take pictures. So I have a picture of the main gate to San Antonio, Zambales and the base (the Philippine Navy use it for training) the rest are of the Senior EM quarters (in 1970-71). The base looked remarkably similar to what I remembered. The NEX and adjacent buildings roof collapsed (Pinatubo damage) but otherwise the same, if not a bit run down.
