Sabana Seca, Puerto Rico .. circa 1971-1973

Back to the old days. Here are some B&W pictures of the Officer's Bunker at Sabana Seca, 1971 or so. The
bunker was an old ammo bunker that had been remodeled into a poor man's O'Club. When I got there it worked on
the honor system, just a cigar box for money. We all took turns as bartender ! One of the pics shows me at the
bar. Drinks were a quarter; a dime during happy hour ! It was open weekends and for parties. Ping pong tables,
movies, and card games . Great memories ! The CPO Club was bigger and wilder as you might imagine :-)





This is a picture of Quarters 62 from 1972.
Note the lush vegetation. It was really a paradise.
I didn't know how good I had it.
