or SOLANT AMITY II. In the Task Force was the Flag Ship USS Spiegel Grove; the York County;
two Destroyers, the NEW and the INGRAM, and one small oiler, the AOL CHAWAKUEN.
A side note, the Spiegel Grove was sunk off Key Largo, FL and made into a "live" reef.

Countries we visited:
Gambia
South Africa
Madagascar
Kenya
Zanzibar
Dahomey
Gabon
Seychelle Islands
Togo
Trinidad (returning home)

Full time of cruise:    April 20, 1961 - Sept 5, 1961

In the Cruise Book, there is a nice picture of us - NavSecGru,
known as the Communication Support Group.

The Task Force Commander was Rear Admiral E. B. Fluckey,
who was the skipper of a Submarine during WWII.
